Genesis Environmental is a nonprofit environmental organization supporting sustainability practices in clean energy production, waste management, urban food production, and housing for homeless.

Housing homeless veterans while providing them real world training, and jobs with livable wages in an economically sustainable model that takes care of the environment results in a true sustainability model: self-replication without dependency on donations.

Using innovative technology from companies like Symbiotic Systems, Green Earthology, and Earth Wind & Power Corporation, we develop Veteran Green Depot communities to train veterans in organic waste management, composting, water purification, soil production, organic farming, irrigation & micro-grid energy systems.

Providing People Purpose

A person without a purpose has the potential to become a rebel without a cause. When we give homeless veterans a purpose to work and care for the land we find that it provides a therapy that is good for people and the planet as well. We are made from the soil, every element that makes up the human being comes from the dust of the Earth. There is mutual healing when a person gets their hands dirty to care for the soil. Our sustainable communities take organic waste and convert it to a high performance soil. The soil & crops grown in it are sold. The profits sustain the community, pay the worker/inhabitants and expand the magnitude of the operation, the property transforms from blighted to blessed.
‚Äč
The Golden Rule applies not only to the way we treat each other, but the way we treat our environment. If we poison our environment, we will be poisoned. The advancement of the human race depends on a keen understanding of a mutually symbiotic relationship between the people and the planet.
